KBC Explorer and Database

• Allows you to organise cases using folders
  • Managed through the KBC Explorer application on tree right-click menu

• Security support enhanced to allow security against individual monitoring applications and folders
• Excel application and reporting workbooks can be tied to Petro-SIM base cases on the database

KBC Explorer and PI-Asset Framework

• Data from Monitoring Applications can now be accessed from OSIsoft’s PI Asset Framework
  • PI AF configuration tool in Explorer adds elements to AF Asset Model to mirror structure in Petro-SIM database
  • Builds data references in one of two ways
    • As Table Lookups where data read on demand from Petro-SIM database
    • As PI Point references where data pushed from Petro-SIM database to PI Archive
  • Stores configuration information in Petro-SIM database allowing for updates to AF structure as Petro-SIM model changes
• Integration makes data fully available to wide range of tools that work against AF structure
• Integration provides for consistent way of building links, allowing for common reporting across like process units
• Functionality accessed in Explorer from Configure PI AF... button on Maintain tab of a monitoring application
