Heating curves for heat exchangers
- A complete set of operating conditions and physical properties is automatically generated by the Property Table utility associated to the heat exchanger.
- This new functionality allows all this information to be exported into an Excel data sheet template.

- The following are the new features in the utility:
- The user can specify any number of hot and cold utilities, and the Composite Utility will display them in the Grand Composite Curve.
- Cold/hot utilities can extend inside utility pockets in the Grand Composite Curve.

- The new Petro-SIM v7.1 functionality can link the pump and compressor unit operations with the steam turbine and gas turbine energy operations.
Energy Balance and Headers
- New features in Petro-SIM v7.1 include:
- Switching steam producers / consumers from within the steam headers.
- The steam turbine group now offers flexibility to calculate steam consumption and power generation by:
- Determining the operating status of each individual steam turbine: turbine on/off/roll and electric motor on/off
- Adding power values provided by an electric motor associated to the steam turbine
- The new energy header allows the User to centralize and control plant energy utilities and electric power connected to equipment across the plant.
