Petro-SIM 7.4 Tools

Assay Work-Up Tools

Assay data based on standard lab analysis is always subject to limitations that can impact the accuracy and reliability of synthesis calculations. Two new tools are introduced in Petro-SIM v7.4:

  • Reconciliation: this tool solves problems when error and inconsistencies are passed to synthesis when lab data has measurement noise.

  • PNA profiling: this tool helps with the accurate synthesis of paraffins, naphthenes and aromatics content in naphtha cuts.

Using Collaboration for Reactor calibration data (FCC only)

With Petro-SIM v7.4 the user can use Collaboration to write/read calibration data to/from an XML file in a monitoring application context (from a reactor in monitoring mode to a reactor in predict mode).

Collaboration for managing calibration data

Prevention of back predict after failed calibration

A new functionality in the Calibration application to just stop all calculation runs if calibration fails and not try to push previous information. Can be turned off if required.

Temperature only option in meter view

When adding a new metering object to a stream, there is a new option to add the Temperature only.

Overrides option in the Data Set Analysis utility

  • This new functionality allos the user to override values for more than one data set at a time
  • On the Data Sets page a new row for Override data is now available for each variable

pH estimation in material streams

Petro-SIM now calculates the pH in aqueous phase for streams containing CO2, H2S and NH3

Customizable Tooltips

  • The User can modify the standard Tooltips view
  • Removing or adding new variables is now possible and having a mix of units

New Databook functionalities

  • New filtering functionality, very useful when a varable requires to be located in a large list of variables.
  • Case Studies tab can be accessed from the Case Studies Setup view.
  • One plot can now show all sets of data points.
